I have Intelligent style in my Master bedroom, and we love it.  I installed over SmartCushion in order to take advantage of the extended warranty.  I would not use Gentle Essence as I think it is too soft, and difficult to vacuum.

Good Luck,
Jim

Hello, I really enjoyed your site and you have cleared up some questions we had. We thought we found the best carpet for us but now have second thoughts. The first is Mohawk's Smart Strand Silk in the lower weight. The salesperson stated it is the only carpet that warrants against dog vomit (which is an issue with one of our dogs). The second carpet we found at a different store is a Stainmaster Luxerell made by Gulistan. The sales person stated that this is a very good mill. This carpet does not have the warranty that the Mohawk carpet does. What is your opinion?

The Triexta yarn form Mohawk has been on the market for several years now. How has the performance of the 18 and 25 ounce products been (mating/crushing, wear, cleaning, etc). I have rental property and I am looking to change my nylon carpets, would this be a good change?

Joe,
Mohawk makes the number one property management product in the country. It is made from a 24 ounce triexta. I have sold it without complaint.

Good for it.

Your website have answered a lot of my questions..,great job! I was going with Leggit & Platt Extreme Comfort 10lb padding but now I am having second thoughts after hearing and reading up about the Shaw Triple Touch 10 lb padding. I have a sample of both pads and they seem to be of the same density. My boyfriend thinks that the Extreme Comfort is the better pad but I want to go with the Triple Touch based on my research. What are your thoughts? I replaced my carpet and padding back in December 2013 but can hear everything that goes on downstairs. So I am replacing the padding and want to use a pad that will reduce the noise downstairs. I have Shaw Sensibility II carpet. Thank you.

Shaw's triple touch padding is a good choice as it also doubles your Shaw carpet warranty.

Good Luck,
